Job Purpose:

The Area Manager oversees the sales performance, guest experience, operations, hiring and talent development of 3 or more retail locations. The Area Manager will provide leadership and strategic direction to create an environment that exceeds guests’ expectations both physical and digital, maximum productivity, profitability, and sales results. The Area Manager will have a clear understanding of company deliverables, processes, and must demonstrate the ability to execute those duties store by store.


Key Areas of Responsibility including, but not limited to:

  • Create a guest-obsessed culture that prioritizes the guest experience and delivers on sales goals.
  • Engaging guests; problem solving and resolution.
  • Lead teams of hourly team members; interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent.
  • Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan and recruit - both long and short term.
  • Follow up on training completion, check for understanding, and provide continuous education opportunities.
  • Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management (observe, recognize and coach) on critical behaviors.
  • Embody our culture and values through a high degree of self- accountability acting as a model for all team members.
  • Understand business reporting and guest insights to understand, troubleshoot and follow -up on opportunity areas.
  • Oversight of assigned stores P&L, and inventory management.
  • Responsibility for managing labor costs (e.g., scheduling hours, overtime, etc.).
  • Uses financial tools & resources to identify and proactively address opportunities in store performance.
  • Ensure stores adhere to federal and local safely standards, including but not limited to, food safety, OSHA, CDC, ADA, wage, and hours laws.


Requirements:

4+ years of retail management experience

Must be able to travel to three retail stores in the area (Santa Clara, CA)

Be able to work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs and maintains a presence in all stores and dayparts. (This includes weekends, early morning, and evenings)
