Description

The Superintendent is responsible for:

  • Leading and supervising a team of skilled tradespeople, subcontractors, and laborers during the 3rd shift
  • Enforcing and maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of all team members and store personnel
  • Ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project plans and specifications
  • Developing and maintaining a detailed project schedule for the night shift, including daily tasks, milestones, and deadlines
  • Maintaining open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including the project manager, store management, and subcontractors
  • Identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise during the renovation process, finding practical solutions to keep the project on track
  • Monitoring project costs, tracking expenses, and working with the project manager to control expenditures within the established budget
  • Keeping accurate records of project progress, daily reports, and any changes or deviations from the original plan
  • Collaborating with store management to ensure minimal disruption to store operations and customer experience during the renovation

Profile

The right Superintendent will have:

  • Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule
  • Proven experience as a Superintendent for commercial or Supermarket interior renovation projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • OSHA certification and knowledge of safety regulations
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
