Be part of our team in the CHKD ED. CHKD is seeking a data and quality-driven Quality Improvement Project Specialist to identify opportunities for improvement and execute action plans. The goal of this position is to work closely with the ED Dyad Leadership and the Medical Director of Quality Improvement to facilitate quality improvement and safety activities. This role is with our Emergency Department (ED) at the Main Hospital in Norfolk, VA and has flexible work hours based on the needs of the role.

An ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Certification in quality management or patient safety (e.g. CPHQ, CQM, ASQ, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing projects using quality improvement principles and project management skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with word processing (Microsoft Word), database software (Microsoft Excel), and presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint) required.
