The Mount Sinai Health System is currently seeking a full-time Geriatrician Physician to join the Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine in New York. Joining the Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine will allow the physician to service a large and diverse patient population in Manhattan, New York.  Our mission is to deliver the highest quality health care to older adults, persons with serious illness, and the caregivers while advancing the fields of Geriatrics and Palliative Care.Ideal candidates will give excellent care to a diverse community of patients that need treatment for a broad spectrum of Geriatric conditions and diseases. The selected candidate will play an instrumental role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and satisfaction. We pursue all dimensions of these three components, considering them inseparable elements of the art and science of medicine.  ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical services in the outpatient setting within the Department of Geriatrics and Palliative MedicineWill work as attending physician for the Geriatrics Outpatient Practices at Mount Sinai Morningside (MSM) and Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH)- both primary care and consultation.Will provide out-patient medical consultation or co-management upon request from medical specialists or non-medical disciplinesProvide teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, students and other trainees caring for patients under the auspices of the departmentServe a diverse population EMR system: EpicClinical, Teaching and Administrative effort requiredCompetitive salary and benefits offered including productivity bonuses, generous paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and malpractice coverageQualificationsMedical Degree from an Accredited UniversityNew York Medical License/Active NYS DEABoard Eligible or Board Certified in Geriatrics and strong preference for additional qualifications in Palliative MedicineCommitted to Mount Sinai and the communities we serveExcellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skillsA strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven health systemRespectfully collaborate and build relationships with a diverse set of teammatesThrive in a constantly evolving environment, challenging the status quo and striving to innovate and improve care deliveryCompensation range from 218K to 238K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)Salary Disclosure Information:Mount Sinai Health System provides salary range to comply with New York City law on Salary Transparency in healthcare advertising.   Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity and collections, and hospital/community need.
