Job Duties

We are looking for an Entity Data Manager with financial services experience to help a large corporate investment bank modernize its global entity data repository. This person will be part of our global professional services team, which includes domain-led transformation services for banking and capital markets clients.

The Entity Data Manager role will lead client data transformation and modernization efforts at our clients. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing and delivering a data repository of global legal entities, enabling monitoring of legal entity data globally, and establishing process and controls frameworks. This person should understand what is required for a comprehensive entity management service at a corporate investment bank. Some key activities for this role include:


Responsibilities

  • Leveraging your deep understanding of an entity hierarchy / taxonomy (including client groups, legal entities, counterparties, geographies, coverage, products and services, accounts, etc.) and how it is part of a broader data management taxonomy (i.e., finance, risk, trading taxonomies)
  • Leading the design and implementation of a target state entity management service including entity management processes, controls, data management, technology, and tooling
  • Leading the design of target state entity management processes and controls including defining process scope and boundaries, maintaining service catalogues, SLAs and OLAs between process boundaries, enforcing policy and procedures for trigger events (i.e., onboarding)
  • Leading the design of a roadmap to enhance the end-to-end data lifecycle / supply chain for entity data management including data models, data owners, governance requirements and functional ownership of the processes, data management standards, rules of materiality/change control triggers, etc.
  • Defining repository technology strategy and architecture to support entity processes
  • Performing data sourcing evaluation and standardization of financial hierarchy data into a central repository, including data remediation and taxonomy enhancements
  • Delivering a complex global entity data management solution for a corporate investment bank using data aggregation, integration, and validation best practices and latest tools and technologies
  • Leading a team of resources in driving the delivery of all engagement deliverables, overseeing engagement management (including administrative tasks), providing hands-on engagement delivery and oversight, providing work-stream / delivery team leadership, and managing senior client stakeholders / sponsors.

Skills Required:

  • Hands on experience in data management, data governance, and data architecture services for financial services clients
  • Hands on experience designing, building, and managing client entity data hierarchies and repositories
  • Significant experience designing and implementing master services for corporate investment banks
  • Experience with documenting complex current and future state capabilities for legal entity data hierarchies / taxonomies (finance, risk, trading hierarchies is a plus)
  • Experience setting outcome-focused objectives, developing project plans, managing execution and creation of deliverables, and tracking and presenting progress towards stated objectives
  • Experience coordinating across multiple groups of senior client stakeholders across different functions, business units, etc. to drive towards a common goal
  • Defining the 'to-be' state for clients, which will involve the design of database repositories through which data is efficiently managed within the organization, securing its trust and accountability
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery frameworks as it relates to data management and implementation programs
  • Superior verbal and written communications skills and history of teamwork
  • Experience operating in corporate investment bank
  • Hands on experience with at least one of the following tools: Python, SQL, R
  • B.S. in Business Management, Financial Services, MIS, Information Management, Computer Science, or related field (M.S. or MBA preferred)
