Grant Accountant

Responsible for all accounting functions related to Federal, State, and Other grants received by the organization. This includes budgeting, banking, purchasing, accounts payable, journal entries, financial analysis, and financial reporting.

What you'll do as a Grant Accountant:

  • Manage grant financial data using district accounting system
  • Ensure budget compliance and approve grant-related expenditures
  • Complete required grant reporting and reconciliations
  • Assist with audits and grant applications
  • Liaise with program personnel on compliance matters

What we are looking for in a Grant Accountant:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience and ideally, proficiency in grant accounting
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in Excel, accounting software, and other relevant tools
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred
