Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is foundational to our operational success, focusing on the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials throughout the facility. You will be responsible for receiving incoming goods, transporting them to designated areas, and preparing items for shipment or further processing. A strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety are key attributes for this position. This is a prime opportunity to contribute to a dynamic logistics environment and develop your career.Responsibilities: Receive and unload incoming materials and products. Accurately identify and count received items, verifying against documentation. Move materials to and from storage locations using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts). Organize and maintain inventory in designated areas according to warehouse layout. Prepare materials for shipping by staging and labeling them correctly. Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory audits. Ensure all materials are handled safely and efficiently. Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures. Wear appropriate PPE , including safety shoes, vests, and gloves, as required. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, contributing to overall warehouse tidiness. Qualifications: Previous experience in a Material Handler or warehouse role is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs. Familiarity with material handling equipment is advantageous. Understanding of inventory management principles and warehouse operations. Knowledge of Logistics procedures is a plus. Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment is essential.Working Conditions: This position is based in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and fluctuating temperatures. The job requires significant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting. We prioritize a safe working environment and provide comprehensive training on safety protocols and the proper use of PPE. Your contribution is vital to our team's success.
