Project Manager is a very important position within Paint EZ. The project manager will coordinate and guide residential and light commercial painting jobs through the scheduling and execution stages and serve as the focal point for communication among the various involved parties. He or she will service all prospective customers with the objective of meeting their painting needs and building customers for life. Project manager will ensure that our customers’ needs and expectations are clearly communicated and accurately documented on a written proposal and change orders. Develop a close working relationship with the Owner, Estimators and the painting crews to ensure all expectations set forth on the written proposal are met. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure assigned project(s) are kept on schedule and within budget

• Meeting clients’ needs, communicate status, and delivering a quality project

• Plan, schedule, coordinate painting projects from start to finish through final touchup and payment collection

• Schedule and award subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders as needed

• Manage and interview painting subcontractor crews and keep proper ratios of crews to jobs

• Identify potential issues and ensure timely decisions are made

• Ensure proper document control and record keeping

• Ensure accuracy job costing and facilitate weekly owner crew payroll

• Ensure assigned project(s) are kept on schedule and within budget while meeting clients’ needs and delivering

a quality project

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and potential leads
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to clients and internal teams

• Ability to manage, hire and coordinate subcontractors. Project managers will work to learn about the subcontractors and their skillsets to best match for the projects.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, managers, subcontractors and clients.

• Ability to learn and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated.

• Superb time management, prioritization and organizational skills.

• Detail oriented, dependable, and reliable.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

• Proficiency in use of a Laptop/Tablet, smartphone and software programs such as Google Mail/Calendar/Sheets/Drive.

• Minimum of 2 years of successful project management experience desired. Demonstrated work history of safely executing projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

• Budget control and job cost forecasting

• Experience in residential or commercial repainting preferred but not required

• Ideal candidate will reside in the locally and central to the territory

• Demeanor that is friendly and cooperative while maintaining adherence to Paint EZ policies and procedures.

• Must present the values and ideals of Paint EZ in appearance and action. Maintain a proper appearance as required by Paint EZ when interacting with customers or when representing the company. Maintain your vehicle in a professional manner as required.

• Energetic self-starter must be able to work independently with the ability to multitask, possessing a “get it done” attitude.

• Perform other duties as required to ensure the success of Paint EZ. These duties may include assignments in other job classifications.

• Bilingual is a plus.
