The candidate for this position will be responsible for monitoring the operations of our systems, including quality and compliance. The candidate should also be able to recommend improvements to the process through the tracking of metrics and reporting of data. The candidate should definitely have strong technical abilities in order to succeed in this role.
Work Schedule: Full-time, exempt; Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (additional hours may be required).
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement customer-focused process/product improvements.
- Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Collaborate with all departments on customer applications and production needs.
- Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Participate in new product line phases for cost-effective manufacturing.
- Use statistical methods for cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Support manufacturing during improvements implementation.
- Drive safety enhancements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
- 1-3 years experience in coating or paper converting preferred.
- Proficient in MS-Office, CAD.
- Experience with Six Sigma and Lean concepts.
- Proven project management skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and critical thinking abilities.
- Attention to detail and good attendance record.
