Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Substance Use Counselor at Seek Counseling. The Substance Use Counselor will be responsible for providing comprehensive therapy and counseling services to clients with substance use disorders. This includes conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, facilitating support groups, and utilizing medication-assisted therapies. The Substance Use Counselor will also provide non-clinical support and contribute to the overall success of the program.


Qualifications

  • Experience in Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Counseling
  • Strong knowledge of therapy and counseling techniques
  • Ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Knowledge of medication-assisted therapies for Opioid or Alcohol use
  • Experience facilitating support groups
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Anger Management and Domestic Violence counseling
  • Must have at least a CASAC-P credential by OASAS
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant certification or licensure in counseling or related field
