Phlebotomist - 1st ShiftAlternate/Related Job Titles: • Patient Services Representative • Medical Laboratory Assistant • Phlebotomy Technician Location: Amherst, OH Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 6 months Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: $17 - 21/hr Schedule: Day Shift 1:30 pm-5:00 pm Job Summary The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Key Responsibilities Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices. Maintain required records and documentation. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the general public. Provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Work independently with minimal supervision. Perform pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy. Maintain flexibility for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime. Required Experience Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience. One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
