Position SummaryOur Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for advanced line support to maintain production performance, site capital project management, supporting engineering in major initiatives and new product development, and leading reliability & maintenance strategy and education for the plant. This is a hands-on position with an 80/20 split between plant and office responsibilities. You will report to the Engineering Manager and works closely with shop operators, maintenance technicians, plant support services, plant leadership and corporate departments. ResponsibilitiesLead reliability, technical, and engineering support for maintenance and production employees to identify and implement sustainable solutions to meet safety, quality, and production objectivesParticipate in site predictive/preventative engineering policiesLead root cause analysis and implementation of long-term solutions to prevent recurrences, manage KPI's including run hours, MTBF, and cost to repairLead reliability deep dive analysis, analyze trends and develop projects to address issues of concern, supporting continuous, sustainable improvementLead development and execution of projects as PM, Project Engineer, Subject Matter ExpertFocus on equipment and systems upgrades in safety, quality, cost reductions, productivityFull scope in Project Management and reporting; Development, Justification, Approval, Design, Procurement, Construction, Commission, Start-up, Training, ClosureProvide subject matter support to cross functional teams for corporate projects and new product initiatives/introductionsDevelop and implement standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the companyDevelopment and training of production staff in manufacturing processesComplete administrative responsibilities including meetings, reports, goals, training, budgets, financials, and expenses to targets and expectationsSupport safety initiatives on the siteAbility to design processes and find solutions to process problemsUtilize lean manufacturing principles and processes to maximize efficiencyCoordinate plans to accomplish goals and direct the integration of technical activitiesRetaining current working knowledge of codes and practicesAssessment and advanced troubleshooting of all manufacturing equipment and linesDesign and implementation of in-house process improvements in equipment and proceduresPrepare justification, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of capital contractsSupport the specific development, design review and validation of purchased equipmentPlan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipmentDirect, review, and approve product design and changesDevelop reliability program education and assessmentWhat we are looking forBachelor of Science, Engineering5 years experience in a manufacturing environmentProficient understanding with ERP, MS Office including Project, Solidworks, 3D printing, 3D modeling, reverse engineering, and GD&T Strong cross-functional team communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skillsCross-functional team leadership to accomplish objectivesBusiness Financial and Project Management SkillsReliability practice/tool experience- PdM.
