We are looking for an innovative, creative and experienced Senior Full Stack Web Developer to define and use best practices in order to take the lead in maintaining and improving our website. You are a Frontend Web Developer with HTML in your DNA. JavaScript is your first language and your knowledge of CSS is uncanny. Expert at responsive design-you know web standards within the retail environment. You chose full stack Web Development because it gives you the best opportunity to be at the forefront of website creation. The right candidate has a high attention to detail with a technical and creative mindset, a leader who will lead the charge in / is ready to take ownership of maintaining and improving our B2C website with a focus on producing enhancements for the Magento ecommerce and Wordpress websites. In addition, you will possess a passion for IT, an aptitude for knowledge and innovation, strong initiative, a positive attitude and a proven ability to successfully take a leadership role and to collaborate with other team members across all teams. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Initiating the research, planning, development, collaboration and documentation of website related projects. Communicate and collaborate with project leads and other software developers on multiple, simultaneous projects Guide and support the maintenance and enhancement of our current B2C and blog sites; taking in to consideration frontend layout and user experience Take a lead role in interfacing with Digital, IT and Development teams to gather requirements, define scope of work, prioritize workload, communicate timeline and manage expectations YOUR PROJECTS (not all of them, of course) The Website: Create new functionalities, enhancements, maintenance, and testing Adjust themes including: Templates, layouts, CSS, Javascript, and other components of the front end of a Magento site Partner with the Marketing team in converting digital assets to web ready formats Take a lead role in establishing and documenting website processes, functionalities, development standards and common components for usage across all applications SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or Engineering required and/or equivalent of 7+ years of experience Expert knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and responsive/adaptive design. Being able to write cross-browser, enterprise-level JavaScript. Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components Passion for performance, debugging and benchmarking Software development; in-depth experience developing numerous web-based applications (7+ years) Experience with Scrum and an Agile Development environment Strong portfolio of work showing experience developing standards-compliant front-end code for web and mobile web Front End PHP Development, Web Development (4+ years) Magento E-Commerce, Hybris, ATG, or IBM experience required (5+) WordPress preferred PHP preferred (4+ years) .NET preferred MySQL preferred Prior experience developing API's or REST services a plus Image processing applications GIT
