The Supply Chain team is a high functioning team with expertise in inventory management, logistics, and cross functional partnerships that ensures the right products reach the right places at the right time, driving customer satisfaction and business growth.Internship ResponsibilitiesInterns will work with cross-functional teams to understand and address business and customer needs while developing key skills in team interactions, problem solving and communication. Interns will partner with leadership to help manage and streamline the day to day operations of the distribution center.Support the execution of daily operationsLearn how to problem solve, lead and motivate a teamConduct real-time observationsDrive results while ensuring safety is a top priorityTake initiative to seek out opportunities for growth and developmentDemonstrate a willingness to take risksFoster an inclusive, diverse, safe, and secure cultureGain an understanding of all business areas to develop business acumenCarry out principal duties and responsibilities by the department through internship rotations as trainedMaintain a high standard of quality/inventory accuracyTrack various KPI's such as safety, quality and productivityLead daily meetings for the operational teamProvide new ideas and recommend solutions for business or team opportunitiesQualificationsTo qualify for an internship with Foot Locker, individuals must:Be an undergraduate (rising junior or rising senior) or a graduate business student pursuing an Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics or similarly related fieldHave a 3.2 GPAHave solid analytical skills and be self-motivatedHave effective communication skills for all levels of the organizationBe able to work cross-functionallyBe willing to learn with hands-on experienceBe proficient with Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and WordWork Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, RF scanner, and tape dispensers.
