This is an onsite role located in Lake Orion, MI.As a Senior Robotics Process Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry. This role will enable you to perfect your experience while integrating some of the most state of the art robotics & technology available. The innovative solutions we work on offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities.How You'll Make an Impact:Teach TCPs, Frames, Loads, and DCS (Safety Configuration)Configure robot I/O, including communicationsSet up and configure various types of dispense process equipment within paint shop and general assembly applicationsSet up and configure various types of vision equipment, including robot-mounted and floor-mounted systemsDevelop Offline Programs (OLPs)Create simulations using one or more platforms for internal and external process validationsApply cycle time improvement initiatives to optimize robot applicationsConfirm robot modelsLead robotics projectsMentor others in the departmentNote: This list of responsibilities is intended as a guideline and may include additional duties.What You'll Bring:Bachelor's or Associate degree in an engineering field710 years of experience programming and launching robotic systems5+ years of experience commissioning systems from scratch to customer standardsPrevious experience in the automotive industry (preferred)Skills You'll Have:Experience with one or more robot applications: Material Handling, Dispense (Urethane, Sealer, Adhesive, Paint), Welding (Spot, Arc, Laser)Familiarity with robot peripheral devices, Tool Center Points, offline programming software, External Axis, and User FrameProficiency with:Fanuc RoboGuideFanuc Vision (2D, 3D, 3DV)Robotic and third-party vision systemsOther Details:Must be able to travel 35% - 50% to customer sites and other JR locationsDisclaimer: JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.Company Overview: At JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
