Safety Manager - K-12 Projects - DC MetroOur client is a mid-sized general contractor with a strong footprint in DC and Maryland. With a self-perform division covering concrete, masonry, carpentry, and specialty trades, they deliver high-quality new construction and interior renovation projects-primarily for public sector clients including schools, parks, and government facilities. The leadership team brings deep industry experience and fosters a "shoulder-to-shoulder" mentality where everyone works together to get the job done. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety protocols across multiple active job sites. This person will be a visible leader in the field, driving a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.The Safety Manager - K-12 Projects - DC Metro will:Conduct regular site inspections and ensure OSHA complianceLead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing training sessionsDevelop and update company-wide safety manuals and proceduresCollaborate with field teams to identify and mitigate safety risksTrack and report safety metrics and incidents consistentlySupport labor coordination and field staff assignments based on skillsetsRecommend improvements to safety tracking and reporting systemsPromote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organizationMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
