After years of working within NYC hospital systems while honing his technological expertise, Rapid Response Technologies now focuses exclusively on supporting mission-critical environments. Our processes are streamlined, and our service and support model is uniquely designed on a partner basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertly install and terminate Low Voltage Cables (Cat 5, 5e, 6, 6a, etc.) with precision.
- Perform precise field terminations to ensure top-notch connectivity.
- Gain extra points for experience in Speaker Wire, HDMI, and Audio-Visual wiring.
- Demonstrate proficiency in IDF, MDF, and Data Center builds.
- Terminate and splice single mode and multi-mode fiber (bonus)
- Manage Fiber pulling and termination tasks with expertise.
- Execute Rack and Stack installations efficiently.
- Conduct thorough reviews of floor plans, line diagrams, and rack elevations to ensure seamless installations.
- Install various cable support materials, including J-Hooks, Cable Tray, Ladder Rack, and more.
- Professionally represent Rapid Response Technologies when engaging with customers.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting skills in various aspects of cabling and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with data center components, including server racks, patch panels, and cable management systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes relevant to structured cabling.
- Proficiency in utilizing testing and certification tools for cabling, such as cable testers and certification equipment.
- Competence in using cable management software and documentation systems.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and power distribution within data center environments.
- Previous experience working as a Structured Cabling Technician.
- Awareness of safety protocols and adherence to best practices in data center operations.
- A positive attitude and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
