As an Entry-Level Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for healthcare services. You will contribute to the financial success of our organization. Join our team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing quality healthcare services.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate
- Verify insurance coverage via online portals and by calling insurance companies
- Preparing daily patient encounter forms
- Obtain prior authorizations when necessary
- Assist answering incoming calls during busy periods
- Fill out forms, upload or fax them, and file them in the patients' electronic health records
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries and disputes
