Ultrasound Technologist

Our client is currently seeking a Ultrasound Technologist in Schenectady, NY

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 40hrs/week, 10 hours/day Start time 11p

Overview:

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, performing quality imaging studies using Diagnostic Ultrasound and ensuring appropriate patient care. You’ll work in several areas including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts or breast, utilizing your clinical and technical knowledge to obtain high-quality sonographic images.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in ultrasound is preferred.
• Must be RVT or RDMS registered within one (1) year of hire.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Works independently, requesting assistance when needed.
• Supports the physicians and departmental leadership.
• Promotes a smooth flow of patients through the department and helps to create a supportive atmosphere.
• Conducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentiality.
• Maintains proper patient safety measures including but not limited to: proper identification, confidentiality, HIPAA, etc.
• Follows all governing guidelines set forth by organizations such as the Joint Commission, NYSDOH, etc., as well as, follow all departmental and organizational policies and procedures.
• Orders and maintains supplies.
• Supports department staff on special projects as necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.
