MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve customers by selling standard and customized Schuler equipment under its Hydraulic Press Technology Division, such as Single Presses, Press Lines, Try-Out, Hot Stamping, Hydroforming, Systems for Fiber Reinforced Plastics and the Household Appliance Industry, as well as Cold and Hot Forging.
  • Services existing accounts, obtains requests for quotations and orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Work closely with SCHULER’s Service and Modernization department.
  • Supports our Global Key Account Managers, Market Segment Managers and Product Managers. For this position, you may be assigned as a local Key Account Manager.
  • Coordinates sales and market development activities with the Director of Sales and SIC/BCN team. Includes strategic and operational sales work.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting sales activity and results reports, such as call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual market analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Collect and update information about the customer’s installed base;
  • Maintains and develops business contacts and relationships, in support of all Schuler products. Maintains records and logs of activities as directed.
  • Leverages relationship between customer, market and Schuler Group. Analyzes feasibility of technical specs in RFQ’s
  • Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
  • Prepares annual sales budget.
  • Acts as company representative at trade association meetings and shows.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Using and updating the current software system regularly, including CRM & project tracking, completing quotation and contract review according to Company policy, and completing all customer satisfaction survey requirements
  • Participates and/or leads technology and product presentations in cooperation with sales for customers. Attends trade shows and events. Works hand-in-hand with Marketing Group to develop customer and market specific workshops and specific training events.
  • Support product marketing efforts by identifying new company product line information. As necessary, assist marketing in updating product presentation media (i.e., PowerPoint presentations, domestic and global installations, technical papers, etc.).



REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and three (3) to five (5) years of related Sales and Product experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the press forming equipment market, including companies, technologies, applications and capabilities.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic Press equipment is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales, presentation, negotiations and closing skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and able to travel
  • New capital equipment sales, preferably in the metal stamping industry
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills.
  • Client relationships
  • Motivation for sales and able to obtain sales goals.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Possess strong analytical aptitude
  • Self-motivated and results oriented
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software

  • Fluent in English with advanced reading and writing skills
  • German and/or Portuguese Language skills would be a plus.
  • Visa holders/English as Second Language (ESL) individuals must take TOEFL exam and score above passing grade.
