Join our team as a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Program Analyst and support the U.S. Department of Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). You will assist the FinCEN FOIA personnel in processing FOIA requests, assessing their validity, and ensuring all FOIA activities comply with Executive Order 12958 on Classification and Declassification. This position plays a critical role in supporting FinCEN's mission to safeguard the financial system from illicit use, combat money laundering, and promote national security through transparent information sharing in compliance with federal regulations. FWI has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the Washington Post in 2024 and 2025, offering excellent growth opportunities in a collaborative environment.Work Schedule and Location: On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00AM ET to 5:00PM ET at the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, 2070 Chain Bridge Road, Vienna, VA 22182.ResponsibilitiesAssist FinCEN FOIA personnel in processing Freedom of Information Act requests under 5 USC 552Support Privacy Act compliance (5 USC 522a) in records management and disclosureHelp assess the validity and scope of incoming FOIA requestsApply relevant laws and regulations including the Ethics and Government Act of 1987, Presidential Records Act, and Federal Records Management ActCompliance and Records ManagementEnsure all FOIA activities comply with Executive Order 12958 on Classification and DeclassificationSupport records management practices in accordance with federal requirementsMaintain awareness of Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) requirementsProgram Management and ReportingProvide weekly status reports documenting work accomplishments, issues, and planned activitiesMonitor and track all FOIA-related activities and deliverablesEnsure all objectives are clearly documented, planned, and reported in a timely mannerIdentify and communicate issues, risks, or concerns that may impact quality or milestonesQuality AssuranceImplement quality methodology designed to meet performance requirementsEnsure all contractual requirements are accomplished in accordance with the performance work statementMaintain efficient and effective service delivery standardsQualificationsSecret ClearanceComprehensive understanding of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy ActKnowledge of federal records management laws and regulationsFamiliarity with classification and declassification proceduresDemonstrated ability to effectively assist FOIA management specialistsStrong program management capabilitiesAttention to detailExcellent organizational and time management skillsSuperior written and verbal communication abilitiesProgram Analyst Level II experience or equivalentPrevious experience processing FOIA requests preferredBackground in federal records managementWhy Join Our TeamAt FWI, we place the highest importance on creating an exceptional employee experience.
