Joining our team requires skill, daring, leadership, teaming, humor and a love of interiors.We are presently searching for a Project Architect (licensed) or Sr. Job Captain (unlicensed) for our Boston studio. The Project Architect leads and manages the technical team. provides design support primarily in project administration, design development and contract documents.Specific responsibilities will include:Ensures technical adherence to office and firm-wide standards by providing technical viewpoint on projectsDirects staff to complete contract documents (CDs).Review CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, mechanical, building systems, codes and ADA requirements.Works with design staff to provide technical solutions for design dilemmas.Manages contract administration budget. Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs PM and/or client of any potential variances to the budget.Manages the work of other Technical staff. Oversees tasks and provide feedback on work product.Organizes and conducts client interviews to determine technical requirements for the designQualifications:Graduate of architecture or design school: equivalent experience may be substituted8+ years’ experience in corporate interior design projectsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Extensive knowledge of design principles and standardsAdvanced documentation and field observational skillsExpert interior architecture detailing skillsExtensive knowledge of CDs and proceduresExtensive knowledge of building systems, codes and ADA requirementsExtensive knowledge of space requirementsExtensive knowledge of contract administrationIntermediate MS Office Suite skillsAdvanced Revit skillsAdvanced Adobe Creative Suite skillsAffinity Program skills or equivalentExtensive verbal and written communication skillsExtensive presentation and graphic communication skillsDemonstrated ability to manage and lead staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise
