Brooksource is seeking a Junior Enterprise Architect to join our enterprise banking partner's Enterprise Architecture department in Charlotte, NC. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with up to 1 year of professional experience, offering a great opportunity to grow and develop in the field of enterprise architecture. The role involves a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days per week in the office in uptown Charlotte.


As a Junior Enterprise Architect, you will support the architecture team and contribute to various enterprise platforms. This role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior architects and business leaders, helping to understand business challenges and assisting in the development of strategic solutions.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist in meetings with senior leaders to review business and technology roadmaps.
  • Support architecture designs for enterprise initiatives, learning to introduce architecture principles, styles, patterns, and standards.
  • Partner with engineering teams to help design solutions, incorporate new technologies, and implement best practices.
  • Participate in team and enterprise-wide architecture and engineering discussions.
  • Help communicate and validate architecture with IT stakeholders, architects, and engineering partners.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams to assist in peer reviews and finalize proposed solutions with stakeholders.
  • Aid in creating design artifacts and keeping current-state artifacts up to date.
  • Support senior team members in the training and mentoring of peers and new team members.


Technical Skillset

  • Up to 1 year of experience as an IT professional, ideally in an Agile environment.
  • Basic understanding of technical designs and enterprise solutions.
  • Interest in mentorship and leadership development.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to learn to influence engineering and business partners.
  • Exposure to or knowledge of Cloud Computing, especially AWS services, is a plus.
  • Familiarity with some of the following tech skills: Serverless compute, Docker and container management, API, GraphQL, Analytics, JavaScript frameworks (Angular / React), Java, .NET.
  • Ability to research, learn, and adapt to new technologies quickly.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

  • Working hours: 8-5 Monday-Friday

  • Location: Uptown Charlotte, NC – Hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days remote per week
