Join our dynamic Content Delivery & Security team as a Senior Software Engineer, where your role will be crucial in handling millions of requests per second across 119+ Points of Presence worldwide. In this position, you will enhance the speed, security, and efficiency of our services. Your responsibilities will include working on our core CDN and DNS systems while spearheading the development of our innovative Shield product, which focuses on web application firewalls (WAF), DDoS mitigation, and bot protection at a global scale. If you are passionate about optimizing protocols, improving edge performance, and constructing resilient systems capable of managing high-volume traffic, this opportunity is designed for you. What will you do? Design and develop essential features for our CDN, DNS, and Shield products, emphasizing performance, scalability, and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance distributed systems for efficient content delivery and robust edge security. Write and maintain high-quality code that processes millions of requests per second while ensuring low latency and high availability. Implement and enhance our WAF, DDoS mitigation, and bot detection abilities in real-time at the edge. Work closely with network and security engineers to optimize TLS/SSL, HTTPS, TCP, and reverse proxy configurations. Diagnose and resolve complex challenges within large-scale distributed systems and networking environments. What will you bring? Demonstrated experience in CDN, edge computing, or distributed systems. Proficient programming skills in backend languages such as .NET (C#), Java, or similar languages. A solid understanding of HTTPS, TCP, DNS, TLS/SSL protocols, and reverse proxy technologies like Nginx. Experience in cybersecurity, with working knowledge of WAF and DDoS mitigation techniques. A track record of delivering reliable, scalable, and secure systems in real-world traffic scenarios. A commitment to learning and adapting in a rapidly evolving technical environment.
