As a result, our people get to enjoy working on some of the most exciting projects in the world.Turner & Townsend is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Consultant to join our data center team. This role is critical in supporting the financial and technical aspects of data center construction projects, ensuring cost control, accuracy, and alignment with project execution strategies throughout the lifecycle. We are ideally looking for a local candidate, but will consider remote candidates with exceptional experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include:Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates and budgets aligned with project scope, schedule, and execution plans.Integrate cost data with project schedules and work breakdown structures to support earned value analysis and performance tracking.Monitor and report on project cost performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.Collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure cost alignment with technical requirements.Support change management processes by evaluating cost impacts of scope changes and schedule adjustments.Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and trend analyses to project stakeholders.Engage and manage third-party quantity surveyors and validate construction cost estimates.Maintain historical cost data and benchmarking tools to support future project planning.Lead monthly cost reporting and analysis, including tracking of key performance indicators.SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.Qualifications include:Minimum of 3 years' experience in cost engineering, with a focus on data center construction.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Strong analytical skills, proficiency in cost estimation software, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and a solid understanding of financial forecasting and cost accounting principles.Strong presentation skills and ability to thrive in a client-facing role.Good organization skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be a team player.Turner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
