Job Title: Solidworks Design Engineer


Job Description: Develop engineering packages from laboratory floor plans for production

utilizing SolidWorks and configurations consisting of Lab Casework assembly and component drawings, generate Excel cut lists, issue Excel purchase requisitions, some sheet metal design development & modifications.


Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or comparable experience (0-1 year)
  2. Senior year college students are encouraged to apply
  3. Willingness to learn
  4. Solid Works/Autocad Inventor experience
  5. SAE/AIAA related project experience preferred not required
  6. Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings
  7. Understanding of manufacturing practices/procedures
  8. Sheet Metal experience in design or shop floor preferred not required
  9. Ability to cross check & validate accuracy of information
  10. Ability to adapt to a multi-project workflow
  11. Effective Cross functional departmental communication skill
  12. Basic knowledge of ERP functionality  


Essential Functions:

· Develop engineering packages from laboratory floor plans

· Utilize SolidWorks and configurations

· Create assembly and detail component drawings

· Generate Excel cutting lists and issue Excel purchase requisitions

· Sheet Metal case work design development & modifications.

· Create Purchase Requisitions of project items & components

· Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Production

· MS Excel proficiency

. Comfortable working with production personnel in following the project through the process.
