Deputy BSA Officer

Our client, a bank in NYC, is currently seeking a Deputy BSA Officer to join their compliance team. The incumbent will support the BSA Officer for BSA and AML compliance requirements. This position will have a hybrid work schedule. Three days in the office per week.


Responsibilities

  • Make decisions regarding escalating suspicious activity and any other BSA/AML and or Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issues
  • Manage AML and BSA risk
  • Manage direct reports
  • Work with senior leaders
  • Improve internal processes
  • Ensure the AML/BSA Compliance Department is in full adherence with all relevant rules and regulations
  • Participate as needed in department and enterprise-wide projects


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • ACAMS, ACFCS or CRCM Certification, preferred, not required
  • 10+ Years’ experience in BSA/AML
  • Three years of experience managing a team
  • Experience documenting AML alert, case investigations, SAR and non-SAR filings
