As an ACC Member, you will embark on a year-long journey of service that transforms you into a leader capable of tackling crucial challenges, fostering economic prosperity, and instigating vital change in your community.
About the Role:
As an "Host-led" candidate, you'll be matched with a host site in your area. The service year begins in early September 2024, and you'll be placed with an organization focusing on Community & Economic Development, Health & Social Capital, or Agriculture & Natural Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work directly for your host organization, contributing to progress on a critical challenge in your community.
- Receive mentorship and support from a dynamic local supervisor and an ACC Program Officer.
Development Opportunities:
- Participate in 3-4 in-person trainings throughout the year in cities like Wichita (KS), Minneapolis (MN), and Washington DC.
- Learn from community leaders, executives, and policymakers.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 17 years of age or older at the start of service.
- Not served four (4) or more AmeriCorps and/or VISTA terms.
Benefits:
- $33,000 stipend.
- $7,395 Education Award through AmeriCorps.
