What You'll Do 

As an optometrist, you'll be in charge of running vision tests, identifying potential vision issues, and recommending glasses or lenses. To excel in this role, attention to detail is key, along with the ability to treat patients of all ages with care and respect. Your main goal? Making sure eye problems are diagnosed and treated accurately. 

What You'll Be Doing 

  • Performing thorough eye exams and vision tests 
  • Spotting eye problems like myopia, astigmatism, and glaucoma 
  • Offering personalized solutions for vision issues based on each patient's needs and medical background 
  • Prescribing meds, glasses, and contacts 
  • Sharing tips on how to take care of your eyes 
  • Keeping detailed medical records for all patients 
  • Guiding patients on using and looking after their contacts 
  • Refer patients out to local Ophthalmologists and co-manage patient care 

What You Need 

  • A degree in Optometry, or currently in your final year of Optometry school  
  • A solid grasp of eye conditions and vision problems 
  • The ability to explain medical jargon clearly and simply 
  • A focus on patient well-being  

** To be eligible for this role, you must be a licensed optometrist, in the process of getting your license, or currently in your fourth year at an accredited School of Optometry.
