In this role, you will:


  • Achieve key performance indicators on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Inspire, guide, and develop a team of data engineering professionals.
  • Spearhead organization-wide data projects and ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with IT leaders, business units, partners, and suppliers from project inception through to completion.
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive data engineering strategy and blueprint for data architecture and sophisticated analytics.
  • Build and oversee the entire data pipeline lifecycle, from data intake and processing to delivery.
  • Design and develop enterprise data solutions leveraging leading architecture practices and advanced data technologies.
  • Implement solutions for data migration, data delivery, and machine learning (ML) pipelines.
  • Implement Identity Access Management (IAM) Roles and policies.
  • Automate deployments of AWS services and Business Intelligence (BI) applications.
  • Work closely with application development and data engineer teams on day-to-day tasks, project planning, and implementation.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements in the field and related sectors.


Minimum Experience

  • 10+ years of IT industry experience within data processing, warehousing, and management.
  • 6+ years of experience in application/platform engineering or related technical work including business intelligence and analytics.
  • 5+ years of experience working with enterprise data platforms and in data design, implementation, and stewardship.
  • Proven experience leading teams technically and acting as an escalation point.
  • Advanced SQL experience within relational or NoSQL databases.
  • Extensive experience with AWS, including services like S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and Redshift or Snowflake.
  • ETL Tooling experience (e.g., Talend Open Studio, Informatica, Pentaho).
  • Strong scripting experience using PowerShell and/or Python.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD tools, pipelines, and automation (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform).
  • Excellent decision-making, judgment capabilities, and communication skills.


Additional Qualifications

  • Experience and comfort solving problems in an ambiguous environment with constant change.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, inspire change, and collaborate with various individuals and organizational partners.
  • Experience designing and building scalable and robust data pipelines for data-driven decisions.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and report across different stakeholders.
  • Passionate about programming, learning new technologies, and staying on top of the latest cloud resources.


Preferred Experience

  • Experience with large-scale enterprise streaming services such as Kafka.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Docker containers or AWS Fargate.
  • Experience implementing applications on both Windows and Linux server OS.
  • Understanding of networking, security groups, or policy management related to cloud resources across multiple operating systems.


This is an Architect/Developer role requiring hands-on experience with integrating data via API and Kafka streams, utilizing technologies like Informatica IICS, Snowflake, and Python.
