What You‘ll Do in This Position

Responsible for assisting or directly organizing, developing, analyzing, and maintaining financial analysis required to monitor established departmental objectives.

Assignment to one of the groups within Financial Operations: Accounting , Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Travel, Benefits Accounting, Payroll, Contract Accounting or Strategic Financial Control and Analysis.

Major Responsibilities

Reporting and Analysis
Conduct primary queries, download data, analyze results to generate financial reports.
Prepare and provide financial information and analysis and ad hoc reporting on a department and company level.
Assist in preparation of financial reports along with corresponding recommendations.
Analyze, interpret, and report monthly and yearly financial reports.
Under general supervision, analyze assigned general ledger accounts and make reconciliations in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), established procedures and deadlines.

Communication
Communicate effectively (both oral and written) with Finance Operations team members, internal company customer organizations, and external customers to resolve issues in general finance areas.
Exhibit good oral and written communication skills to effectively and accurately present information and express ideas.
Display interpersonal skills to maintain positive working relationships through cooperation and open communication.

Business Acumen
Possess an integrated understanding of the general business environment.
Monitor, analyze, and audit financial and accounting transactions to ensure good business practices and adherence to contract and corporate policies.
Support audits of selected financial and accounting functions to ensure adherence to contract and corporate guidelines.

Talent & Process Development
Pursue continuous learning opportunities to further develop skill base.
Identify and initiate continuous improvement opportunities in specific subject area.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. PeopleSoft knowledge, Concur knowledge, understanding of the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), computer skills, travel audit experience
