Purpose of position: Responsible for the supervision of the machine shop operations, which includes supervising departmental staff, establishing and achieving operational goals to maximize team performance, order fulfillment and maintaining the health and welfare of the warehouse employees.


Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties, and not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each employee in the job title:


•Assign tasks to Fab Shop employees and ensure tasks are completed in a timely, productive and quality manner

•Monitor production and send production reports each night to 1st shift

•Ensure employees are productive while following safety procedures

•Evaluate, write and conduct employee evaluation by given deadline and continual professional growth

•Comply with Company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident preventative meetings

•Wear safety equipment at all times

•Perform CNC Set Ups and inspect parts during the shift

•Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs


Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •High School diploma or equivalent

•Strong CNC machining experience and team management experience

•Three years’ management or supervisory experience

•Must be willing to work 2nd shift, 3 pm - 12 am, Monday through Friday

•Ability to think on your feet and accomplish tasks that are not always of a routine manner that serve in the best interest of the company

•Ability to take the hands-on approach when necessary

•Effective problem-solving ability

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to lead and coach people to create a team approach and to hold employees accountable in a fair and consistent manner

•Basic math skills

•Read tape measure, calipers, and micrometers

•Bi-Lingual – English/Spanish


Work Environment/Physical Demands

Typical Warehouse environment – moderate noise level. This position regularly requires standing; walking; sitting; use hands; reaching with hands and arms; and talking and/or hearing. Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
