MDD helps insurance companies, independent adjustment firms, multinational corporations, government entities, and individuals calculate the true economic damage of claims or disputes.MDD is looking for a Senior Accountant to serve as an essential function of its construction and litigation accounting team in our Cherry Hill office. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a sound technical background in accounting/finance, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and be able to work independently.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate construction accounting financial statementsReview and analyze insurance policy provisions and legal documentsResearch, data analysis and evaluationExamination of source documents pertinent to engagementAnalyze and reconcile claim to final calculationPrepare preliminary draft of report narrative and supporting schedulesCheck and proof reports and schedulesEnsure compliance with state and federal lawsResearch and other tasks assigned by managerQualificationsBachelor’s degree in AccountingMinimum of 3 years of accounting experienceExperience in the construction industryForensic experience a plusCPA or actively pursuing CPA designationWilling to travelMust have a valid driver’s licenseMust have demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentPossess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinkerMust be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookBenefitsMDD offers a competitive benefits package including paid vacation and holidays, 401k and profit sharing, medical, dental, vision, and life and disability.MDD applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to religion, race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender, national origin, age, disability or protected veteran status, or any other legally protected basis.
