Cost AccountantLHH is working with our client a manufacturing company in their search for a contract Cost Accountant to take ownership of its cost accounting process. This position will sit onsite in on the east side of Cleveland, OH and will focus on establishing procedures, implementing systems, and creating structure for accurate costing across a large inventory base. You'll have guidance from leadership but will be expected to build the framework and drive improvements independently.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain standard costs for raw materials, labor, and overheadReview overhead rates and ensure accurate cost allocationAnalyze material, labor, and overhead variances; prepare monthly reportsLead process improvements for inventory accuracy and internal controlsPartner with engineering, procurement, and operations to identify cost-saving opportunitiesProvide financial analysis for new products, process changes, and strategic decisionsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldAt least 4 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environmentStrong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuationAdvanced Excel skillsAbility to work independently and take initiativePay Details: $38.00 to $43.00 per hour
