Please note that this is a full-time hybrid role, with an expectation of being onsite at the client's Louisville headquarters two to three times per week.


Ingenium Talent, a Louisville-based professional search firm, is working with a local enterprise in their search for an experienced Manager of Data Engineering to oversee the delivery of data pipelines, enrichment processes, data monitoring, and data transformations for the organization.

Our client is a dynamic and innovative organization at the forefront of data-driven solutions. They specialize in leveraging cutting-edge technologies to transform raw data into actionable insights. As the Manager of Data Engineering, you’ll play a pivotal role in their mission to deliver high-quality data pipelines, enhance data enrichment processes, and ensure robust data monitoring and transformations.


Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with data stewards across business units to define business rules for data monitoring and quality assurance.
  • Daily management of the Technical Data Analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement processes to validate data ingestion and maintain data quality, with audit capabilities.
  • Create data transformation procedures, ensuring smooth data flow from raw sources to defined logical and physical data models.
  • Collaborate with the Application Development team to implement efficient data transformation pipelines.
  • Extract business rules and requirements from data stewards and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Maintain data flow diagrams, documenting source-to-target mappings and operational support details.
  • Work closely with new partners to onboard data feeds seamlessly.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Ten years of experience delivering data engineering solutions on large, heterogeneous datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies (SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar technology.
  • Scripting language experience (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
