Wastewater Supervisor

Under the direction of Corn Operations Manager, the Wastewater Supervisor is responsible for overseeing full function and adequate operations, treatment, and disposal of wastewater in the plant. Support management in hiring, training, and coaching subordinate team members. Committed to excel in support of wastewater controls and meeting corporate mandates as required.
- Ensure consistent flow and temperatures of wastewater is adequate at the plant.
- Support in directing wastewater program needs such as ensuring clean filters.
- Assist in developing and updating control mechanisms such as SOPs or other local policies.
- Maintain and ensure proper required documentation and equipment for wastewater within ISO mandate.
- Purchase supplies of wastewater program as needed.
- Schedule, support, train, supervise and coach wastewater team.
- Advise and direct wastewater programs as per federal, state, and local environmental laws.
- Acts as a liaison between Corn Operations Manager and local management leadership team.
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to waste water operations.
- Ensures temperature controls of final product are adequate (Dry solids)
- Ensure proper cleaning of solids are cleaned from sediment tanks.
- Ensures all wastewater areas are clean and free from trash and construction.
- Supports all operations in a safety manner and always enforces proper usage of PPE.
- Maintain wastewater pumps in good working condition.
- Ensures proper samples are taken randomly and ensures adequate follow-up process.
- Ensure the proper loading and unloading of product (dry solid)
- Oversees loading of trucks with final product.
- Assist with budgets preparation for corn operations department local and abroad.
- Performs additional duties in relation to corn local and as required.
- Ensures proper laboratory analysis are conducted according to wastewater programs.
- Additional duties may be assigned to support proper function of the department
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, BM, BA, BSM, Plant Soil, Agriculture; MBA preferred but not required. Basic Supervisor Training, HACCp. GMPs. ICPM preferred and 2 plus years in supervisory role.
