Sr. Manager, Manufacturing And Environmental Test OperationsProject Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.The Sr. Manager's responsibilities will include defining and implementing the strategic vision for his value stream to achieve scale and overseeing the daily operations of the value stream. Safety and product quality are paramount. The Sr. Manager and their team will work closely with development engineering for manufacturing process definitions and will leverage our teams in procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain to enable high-volume production throughput. The role is based in Redmond, WA.Key Job ResponsibilitiesManufacturing & Environmental Test Operations and scale satellite manufacturing operations, including assembly, integration, and test activitiesDevelop and implement manufacturing strategies to meet production targets and quality standardsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce cycle timeEstablish and maintain manufacturing metrics, KPIs, and reporting systemsOversee factory layout, workflow optimization, and capacity planningDirect environmental test operations including thermal vacuum, vibration, and acoustic testingManage test facility operations, maintenance, and capability expansionEnsure compliance with test specifications and quality requirementsDrive test schedule optimization and resource allocationOversee test data collection, analysis, and reporting systemsA day in the life about the teamHere at Amazon we embrace our differences.
