Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Concrete Construction Estimator to assess construction projects, analyze costs, and prepare accurate estimates for concrete construction work. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and pricing, along with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Major Tasks, Key Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand project requirements
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, quantities, and materials required
  • Identify and quantify costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for concrete construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop cost-effective solutions and value engineering options
  • Participate in bid meetings, negotiations, and presentations with clients and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate records of project estimates, changes, and communications
  • Monitor industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to stay informed of changes that may impact project costs


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, and techniques
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and drawings
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a construction estimator, with a focus on concrete construction projects preferred
  • Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Estimator) are a plus
