The Director of Operations is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing efforts that support the factory operations, its customers, and Amphenol Cable and Interconnect Technologies (ACIT) growth objectives to meet its Strategic Plans. This leader is responsible for the management of all activities that affect the P&L with a focus on continuous improvement in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Human Resources. Responsible for site operational performance and corporate reporting requirements. The Director of Operations will implement the facility's long- and short-term goals, align them with the Division's goals and direct and coordinate the Facility management team in achieving those goals. Protect intellectual property for all the processes performed in the factory and work closely with the management team to drive continuous improvement though ACIT Continuous Improvement System (CIS) implementing Lean Manufacturing and business process improvements throughout the factory. The Director of Operations shall embody the Company's core values and promote these values throughout their Facility.Essential Job Functions:Provide leadership, tactical direction and coordination of all P&L performance. Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing cross functional team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.Understand the financial performance of each program at the facility and ensure that programs are being managed to promote optimal profitability.Collaborate with other executive management to develop and implement the strategic and tactical plans for our factory's future success.Has overall responsibility for the facility's annual budget, strategic plan, monthly forecast and reporting requirements.Ensure program milestones are being met and Customer concerns are addressed.Responsible for the correct implementation of the S&OP methodology, purchasing of goods, capacity planning and constraints management.Oversee the transportation and cost of goods entering and leaving the facility.Ensure that continuous improvement processes are established and in practice.Responsible for directing the management of the physical structure of the Facility.Ensure that Quality Control procedures and guidelines are established and in practice.Ensure the site meets or exceeds the core values as described in the employee handbook.Develop and maintain effective positive working relations with internal and external customers.Ensures compliance of quality systems/ISO and AS 9100 certification(s) including but not limited to company policies, processes and procedures.Possess understanding and the ability to communicate corporate policies, philosophies and guidelines of conduct.Understand basic local Government Laws & Regulations, duties for compliance and related issues.Performance management.Provide a safe work environment.Develop a flexible workforce with the skills required for company growth.Perform other duties as required.*Other duties may be assigned*Supervisor Responsibilities:Directly supervises all functional departments in the factory with an indirect responsibility for Sales and Product Management. Minimum of five-years' experience in management of manufacturing or other related engineering type operations.Language Skills:Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English required.Mathematical Skills:Strong mathematic and analytical skills. Must have the ability to understand engineering and financial models including cost analysis, labor efficiency, absorption modeling, balance sheet, and income statement.Job Skills/Type of Person:Ability to review, communicate and analyze financial and operational performance.Demonstrated proficiency utilizing networked PC's using Windows, Microsoft Office &/or ERP/MRP software system such as SAP.Effective interpersonal skills.Capable of presenting to all levels of management or customers.Lean manufacturing knowledge and proven experience.Demonstrated ability to make positive impact decisions, prioritize and meet or exceed deadlines.Demonstrated ownership for decisions and actions; facilitates accountability.Ability to work variable extended hours may include extensive travel at times which can occur during evenings or weekends.Ability to obtain and maintain valid passport to travel overseas when required.Ability to perform well under pressure and respond constructively to difficult situations in a timely manner.Strong interpersonal skills and experience and proven results in continuous improvement.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
