They pride themselves on their commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our client's dynamic team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $90k - $110k Position Overview: This hands-on role will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, including month-end close processes, journal entries, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with a strong attention to detail and a passion for the logistics and transportation industry. Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant: Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and post journal entries. Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper documentation. Prepare monthly financial statements and reports. Assist with audits and tax filings. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights. Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions. Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant: Experience in the logistics/transportation industry. CPA certification. Advanced Excel skills.
