We are growing and looking to hire a Sales Support Specialist to join our team. This will be a go-to person who will help our sales organization grow. This person will be based from our office and will support our outside sales force, and build relationships with our customers. This person will also familiarize themselves with our product line to assist customers with questions when necessary. Additionally, this person will dedicate a portion of their time handling customer order processing. Order processing can lead to upselling and commission opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be technical by nature, have the ability to easily understand and learn about products, as well as the ability to pass this knowledge on to others. This person will need to be exceptionally organized, extremely detail oriented with the experience necessary to process accurate orders in a timely manner in addition to the below tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide service and support to customer base and sales force.
- Responsible for providing an outstanding customer experience by responding in a timely manner to customer inquiries/orders via phone, email, web chat, ERP cases, and web form emails.
- Efficiently and accurately inputs customer orders into the company’s order entry system and advises customer immediately if product cannot be shipped as requested. Performs detailed review of purchase orders to capture special requests listed by the customer. Orders must be entered accurately and followed up in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain suite of sales reports for management & sales force.
- Build & maintain content for top eCommerce customers’ product listing pages.
- Maintain pricing and account data on ERP system.
- Interface daily with clients, account managers and internal departments to quickly resolve issues.
- Provide data analysis on the competitive environment, current product offering, customer needs. Collects and maintains market information.
- Prepare sales presentations and training materials for sales force.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned such as assisting sales, marketing, and operations teams.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years relevant experience
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in MS Excel & MS PowerPoint
- Experience working in an ERP environment, NetSuite a plus++
- Experience with CRM’s, Salesforce a plus++
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a high aptitude for providing excellent customer service
- Strong organizational skills. Must demonstrate the capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and in a timely manner.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills: Be curious to know “the 5 W’s”, and passionate to solve the unknowns
- Must possess take charge attitude, be a self-starter, and ensure projects are completed in full and on time
