LHH has teamed up with our client who is searching a Financial Analyst for a contract role. The Financial Analyst plays a critical role in driving profitability for the organization. This role involves engaging with stakeholders to create and manage the delivery of analysis, reporting, and data solutions throughout the organization. The Financial Analyst develops analyses driven by both data and industry/company insights and presents a rich set of alternatives for decisions. Additionally, the analyst will develop budgets, forecasts, and reporting required to review progress towards targets. With a strong understanding of ERP systems, the analyst will support the development of various business reports. This role is on site in Mesa so only local candidates will be considered.


Job Duties:

  • KPI Analysis: Analyze current and historical trends in KPIs, establish new and updated KPIs as needed, monitor performance indicators, and provide insightful feedback and recommendations.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Participate in the continual development and improvement of the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling process. Create and maintain reporting, dashboards, and scorecards to monitor performance indicators. Develop new financial models to support strategic initiatives.
  • Environmental Monitoring: Continually monitor the changing environment and financial indicators to provide data-supported recommendations and feedback for management decision-making.
  • Support Leadership: Provide in-depth analysis and ad hoc reporting to leadership and department heads as needed.
  • Business Reviews: Assist in the preparation of Monthly Business Reviews and Quarterly Division Reviews.
  • Pricing Analysis: Maintain the Margin Calculator model and provide pricing analysis and recommendations for projects and promotions.
  • Product ROI Models: Develop and maintain New Product ROI models to support the launch of new products as well as evaluate existing product lines.
  • Customer Collaboration: Work with internal customers to understand their business needs, goals, and objectives.
  • Variance and Trend Analysis: Perform variance and trend analyses while highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Customized Reporting: Create customized fields and reports with NetSuite to drive business growth and understanding.
  • Cost Reduction Recommendations: Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
  • Strategic Planning Support: Work closely with the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to determine priorities and support in various areas of Finance and Strategic Planning.
  • Continuous Learning: Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed in the finance field.


Job Requirements:


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Well organized and able to assemble data into a logical and presentable format.
  • Ability to quickly gather and analyze facts, work with customers to set up reporting and solutions, and follow through to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver messages to managers and coworkers clearly and straightforwardly.
  • Superior PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Experience with ERP/automated accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
  • Well-informed in financial subjects, accounting, technology solutions, and business environments.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a financial analyst (or related position).
