Job Summary
The Integration Engineer will be responsible for creating, configuring, and maintaining the data connections that allow to exchange information with its customers and partners. The ideal engineer would be able to lead an integration with a new customer, identify and resolve potential issues with current integrations, and assist other teams in reviewing and monitoring data flow across the environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Monitoring data flow through each system to ensure that all information reaches its intended destination.
Work with members from other teams to ensure successful integrations and inter-system operability.
Troubleshoot errors or issues with production feeds, including assisting owners of dependent systems with troubleshooting.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Integration experience, familiarity with HL7 messages required.
Ability to create and understand technical documentation.
Ability to manage the Software Lifecycle Development Cycle in an organized fashion.
Ability to understand data encryption principles, including VPN and TLS connections.
Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with both a technical and non-technical audience.
Ability to evaluate and solve complex problems and issues.
Experience and/or Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or information systems, preferred.
2 to 4 years of work experience in healthcare technology.
1 to 4 years of experience with healthcare integrations, required.
Working knowledge of Mirth Connect, JavaScript, HL7 V2, and HL7 CCDA, preferred.
Experience with Python, a plus.
Knowledge of FHIR, a plus.
