Join usPurpose of Job:The Vice President (VP) of National Accounts is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, enhance customer relationships, and expand market share within key national accounts. This senior leadership role is responsible for a portfolio with sales of more than $500M, manages a team of General Managers, champions strategic direction, channel/account pricing, relationship management, day-to-day operations, growth strategies, and annual budgets for Original Equipment Service (OES) and End-User segments. This role serves on the Commercial Leadership Team and is one of the top leaders within the entire system, who will assist with corporate strategy and initiatives, along with being a champion of IB's purpose and values. This role reports to the Sr. VP, Commercial.Job Components:Strategic Leadership & GrowthAccountable for delivering planned volume and profitably growing a $500M portfolio with full Profit & Loss (P&L) management of gross/net pricing, trade spend, salaries, and other operational expenses.Develop and execute a national account strategy to maximize growth.Identify new business opportunities and expand relationships with key national accounts.Set sales targets, monitor performance, and adjust strategies as needed.Provide leadership and guidance to national account managers and sales teams.Responsible for the development, communication, and progress of the long-term vision for both the OES and the End-User segments. Assists in the development of National Accounts and company-wide strategic plans and priorities.Client Relationship ManagementServe as the primary executive contact for major national accounts.Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.Negotiate high-level contracts, pricing, and service agreements.Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and problem-solving.Sales & Business DevelopmentDrive national sales efforts and collaborate with regional teams for cohesive execution.Develop customized solutions to meet client needs and differentiate from competitors.Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.Partner with marketing, operations, and product teams to enhance service offerings.Champion growth initiatives, leads sales efforts for new national accounts, and actively directs contract retention/renewal efforts (as loss of one of these accounts would be material).Maintain and improve the quarterly business reviews process for our top accounts to monitor performance and frame improvement areas.Operational & Financial ManagementManage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for national accounts.Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales trends.Ensure alignment between national account strategies and overall business objectives.Work with internal teams to optimize supply chain, logistics, and service delivery.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (MBA preferred).10+ years of experience in national account management, sales leadership, or business development with full P&L management > $100M.Proven track record of managing large national accounts and driving revenue growth.Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Ability to develop and execute strategic plans in a fast-paced environment.Experience leading and mentoring teams to achieve business objectives.Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics, and financial reporting tools.Scope Data:Highly collaborative and cross-functional working environment.Will champion critical initiatives and interact with Team Members at all levels of the organization.Day-to-day leadership of the National Accounts Team.Participate fully in all activities of the Full Leadership Team (FLT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).Model Interstate's Purpose and Values.Work Environment:Ability to sustain posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time.Work involves a high level of energy and the ability to get up and down frequently or sit for long periods of time.Regularly required to use hands to grasp or handle, and talk and hear.Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Note: We do not accept resumes from headhunters, placement agencies, or other suppliers that have not signed a formal agreement with us.Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
