Join the Pacsun Community.The Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in leading a customer focused, top-line sales driven, profitable and productive store location. The Assistant Store Manager must also inspire and motivate others by exhibiting core value behaviors-including a customer focused selling culture, and ensuring the execution of the Store's KPl's. Assistant Managers also must hold store employees accountable to following all policies and procedures.A day in the life, what you'll be doing:Displays a customer-focused mindset at all times and ensures all team members deliver an engaging, positive and authentic customer experienceHandles customer situations in compliance with policy and procedures, attempts to "solve for yes" and escalates issues as appropriateMaintains a clean and well organized store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment to maximize the customer experienceShares feedback from customers with the leadership team to improve the overall customer experiencePerforms as the floor supervisor role as needed to cover non-peak periods (breaks etc.)Delivers an engaging, positive and authentic customer experience with all customersDisplays a customer-focused mindset at all times and ensures all team members deliver an engaging, positive and authentic customer experienceHolds self and others responsible for the accomplishment of all operational tasksCoaches and provides feedback on Sales Associate's performanceSupports associate engagement by recognizing and rewarding outstanding performanceProvides direction to associates to ensure understanding of company directives and standardsPrioritizes and delegates tasks to meet all operational needsSupports and executes visual directives and maintains visual standards set by the companyDrives efficiency in all operational store processesMaintains merchandise flow, filling and presentation standards throughout the store and stockroomMaintains a clean and well organized stockroom and store, promoting a safe working and shopping environment to maximize the customer experienceEnsures all store associates follow all policies, procedures and all Safety Program practicesReflects the PacSun brand by demonstrating passion and affinity for product, brands, fashion and trendsInspires and motivates others by consistently exhibiting core value behaviorsDemonstrates willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn what is unknown about product, brands, fashion and trendsWhat it takes to join:Passion for product, brands, fashion and trendsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredEffective written, verbal and presentation skillsStrong communications skillsExcellent time management skillsProficient in math and possesses strong computer skillsDeveloping the community/leadership qualities:Operate with the highest level of conduct, integrity, and confidentiality; setting the example for leaders and associates.Develop and nurture strong cross functional partnerships; driving business results and inspiring a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.Serve as a Pacsun advocate in the industry and marketplace.Recruit, identify, develop, and retain talent that delivers performance excellence.As a manager, serve as a leader of company culture, norms, and conduct.Ability to balance a strong management presence with a high level of approachability, encouraging and eliciting associate feedback and interaction.Physical requirements:The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.The associate must frequently sit/stand for long periods of time and climb ladders as needed.While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; as well as reach, twist or squat.Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stockroom and office areas.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Ability to work in open environment with fluctuating temperatures and standard lighting.Hotel, Airplane, and Car Travel may be required SM and above roles only.Position type/expected hours of work:This is a full-time position. Ability to work 32-40 hours a week is required.
