Duties

and Responsibilities:Essential FunctionGreet and welcome guests and direct visitors to the appropriate personNotifies company personnel of visitor arrivalAnswer, screen, and forward incoming callsMaintain the internal phone listingMaintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the receptionist desk (monitor visitor logbook, issue visitor badges, lock and unlock front door)Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveriesAct as an assistant to the Finance, Human Resources and Sales Department regarding miscellaneous tasks assignedEnsure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, scanning, and faxingQualification Requirements:Education and Work ExperienceHigh school diploma required and 2+ years administrative experience preferredProven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar roleKnowledge and SkillsProficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and WordHigh level of interpersonal skillsAbility to operate most standard office equipmentAttention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materialsExcellent spelling, grammar and written communication skillsExcellent telephone and oral communication skillsAbility to rely on experience, judgement and independent thinking skills to plan, prioritize and accomplish goalsPunctuality and reliable attendance during regularly scheduled office hours
