JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Potosi, MO Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 24-hour physician coverage COVERAGE DATES Starting 09/01/2025 Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Volume/Census: 13,000 annual ED visits Case Mix: Emergency, Minor Care, Hazmat, Triage FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 10 ED beds Trauma Level: Not specified (Critical Access) EMR System: Power Docs Office Equipment Available: Trauma room, Minor Care, Hazmat, Triage area Reason for Coverage: Coverage need PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES General emergency medicine procedures JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Missouri license and DEA required Board: BC/BE in Primary Care (not required); EM experience required DEA: Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS (ATLS only required for Medical Director); must be obtained within 6 months Experience: Prior EM experience required Other Qualifications: CME from past 2 years Procedure logs Flu, TB, Medical clearance BNDD license COVID vaccine or approved exemption MMR x2 or titers Varicella x2 or titers Hepatitis B antibody (quantitative) Tdap Quantiferon TB or 2-step PPD (or post-positive CXR) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medicine coverage in a 10-bed ED Work 12-hour shifts with 24-hour physician coverage Treat a range of emergency presentations including trauma, minor care, and triage Accept moonlighting residents Accurately document care in Power Docs EMR
