Demand Planner

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, as a Demand Planner at Diamond Mattress, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials to support our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for establishing accurate demand forecasts for production, coordinating optimal inventory levels, and driving procurement activities. By collaborating closely with various stakeholders, you will contribute to the overall success of our operations and our commitment to delivering the highest quality mattresses to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining MRP metrics for inventory of purchased raw materials.
• Initiate, plan, execute procurement and maintain inventory control.
• Work in tandem with inbound team to make sure materials were delivered on spec in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Sales & Marketing to receive sales forecast for demand forecast analysis.
• Assist in the SIOP process for the development of consensus demand reviews in collaboration with Sales, PD, and Operations teams.
• Create and monitor shortage reports while driving them to completion.
• Maintain ERP accuracy in relation to materials policy including usage, safety stock, transit-time, etc.
• Diagnose problems in the forecast by assessing the impact of variances of forecasted materials and makes appropriate forecast adjustments.
• Provide input to the supply planning process in developing strategies for on-hand inventory, new product/material roll-out and product/material phase-outs.
• Build and prepare measurable analytics for reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in either a supply chain planning or operations role.
• Functional knowledge of forecasting principles within demand planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop collaborative working relationships at various levels across the organization.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, charts and graphs.
• Accustomed to high-paced environments and able to adapt to changing job requirements.
• Previous bedding industry experience is a plus but not required.
