Role Overview:

As the Autonomy Software Lead, you'll play a critical role in leading the development and integration of autonomy software for our next-generation space exploration vehicles. Your expertise in robotics, autonomy, and space exploration will be pivotal in driving innovation and ensuring the success of our missions.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and integration of autonomy software for space exploration vehicles.
  • Guide and support interdisciplinary teams to achieve system-wide autonomy goals.
  • Design and test advanced autonomy algorithms tailored for space exploration missions.
  • Ensure software meets stringent requirements for reliability, safety, and performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate autonomy software with vehicle hardware.
  • Champion best practices in software development and system design.
  • Stay updated on advancements in robotics, autonomy, and space exploration technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in autonomous systems development, with a strong focus on robotics and autonomous vehicles.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing complex engineering projects.
  • Expertise in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, ROS) and machine learning.
  • Experience with end-to-end development and deployment of autonomy software systems.
