Software Engineer

Description The Transportation Solution division within the Leidos Health & Civil sector is seeking a Software Engineer who will be a member of a dynamic team working United Kingdom (UK) NATS Flight Data Processing (FDP) Evolution, providing enhanced FDP capabilities for the UK NATS organization to replace the current operational system.Location: This position can be in any of our three locations; Gaithersburg, MD, Eagan, MN or Egg Harbor, NJ. This position will be required to work 3 days onsite and 2 days from home office.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for software development activities both individually and as a member of a team including writing and maintaining source codeActively participate in daily stand-ups, Release Planning, and other related team activitiesAnalyze and study complex system requirements, use design software tools, provide support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other accepted design techniques and use sound software engineering principles to ensure that developed code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault tolerant, and reusableProvide software process management and control throughout the coding portion of the software development process and will promote code reuse and cross-program collaboration while reducing maintenance costs by creating common functions and shared actions for developers and testers.
